My obsession

My obsession

A Poem by AKhaus

my intensity is what overwhelms my surroundings

kills my love

murders my dreams

how can I let free of such burden filled strife

how can I release the grip this has upon my life

Pounding pounding on my head, this obesession is obesessed

Such anxiety, such punishment I take from my hands my thoughts my utter make

Madness without balance am I and I push everyone away for fear of consuming them alive

This says a lot without being particularly long. There should be more poems like this. Maybe you could do a back to back poem from this and talk about the thrill of intensity.
