nights of tenderness

nights of tenderness

A Poem by AKhaus

the vibrations of the insects around her halo cause this blur and my eyes cannot focus.
a drop of sweat falling from her cheek and I must drink what evaporated sense of self she has left for me.
midnight moon upon her breast and I am stirred amongst the clouds in the sweet ebony sky.
limbs falling limp and souls sliding into the abyss.
I could not begin to tell you when this picture ceased to exist, I only know it as now.
to feel her smile and gentle brown eyes.
tasting her world's flavor and never wanting to die.
such a separation would cause an eternal influx of thought, an explosion of mind.
how might I ask the sun to part with its flames or the shadows of their stains?
how might I have had a moment without her?
what agony that must have been, so painful the memory cannot begin.
and yet the chirping of the morning birds cause her to fly.
dawn to day and I crave the dusk.
no other touch I will love this much.
