Cold

Cold

A Poem by AKhaus

OFF IN THE SNOW I WANDER FOR THOSE FOOTPRINTS, AS TO FIND OUR PLACE...

IN THE WHITE I AM LOST BY YOUR WORDS THAT TRAVEL SMOOTHLY ACROSS MY MIND...

FALLING, TIRED IN THIS COLD...I'M COLLAPSING

I WENT AS FAR AS I COULD, BUT YOU WEREN'T THERE ANY LONGER...

YOU MUST HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW TO RETURN TO ME...

THE SWEET SOUND OF THE VIOLIN SEARING THROUGH MY THOUGHTS AS THIS PAIN LEAVES ME...

I CRUMPLE BENEATH AN EVERGREEN WAITING FOR THE MOON TO KISS ME GOODNIGHT...
