Our acquaintances

Our acquaintances

A Poem by AKhaus

You're waking from my dream and I miss you already...
Taking each breath without me near...I can hear you breathe.
I was waiting for you at this corner, just watching time go by.
It seems you decided to hop off that ride and visit with me.
Our acquaintances not so foreign, just a friendly face that reaches beyond space and time.
Again and again we will meet here to share such thoughts.
My wings felt clipped, you helped me mend them so I can plunge into that big blue abyss above the clouds.
I was hopeless until you reminded me that I am that sky I soar within...I am the story that fills these books.
A sweet and kind voice to talk me through this storm.
I am glad I waited, I am glad you arrived back to me yet again.
Sorrow is fading behind these doubts.
I feel fate's comforting hands holding me when I know you're there.
