the lake

the lake

A Poem by AKhaus

I went to the lake to find some peace.
I saw a fowl dead in the water.
The lover no longer be her side.
Her body drifting alone.
I cannot digest how her end came to be...how she just floats there in the corner of no where.
Was it a storm that took her by surprise and overwhelmed her?
Did she drown in the fury of rain and wind, beating her down?
To feel her end, to be her in that moment...
Her home her tomb.
Her love her loneliness.
Black, dead, silent.

So sad to hear this, but sometimes, we're all failed in front of nature's mighty call. You sound more like a proactive philosophical philanthropist who better understands the worth of someone's existence in this world... and how important every the value of every living is. By writing this piece, you've just captured a real scenario of your life in words that will help you & remind how mysterious this nature is. Very strong words here. Looking forward to reading your work!
