the return

the return

A Poem by AKhaus

the moon is my soul and the sun my sin
my kin my bones and my love my shelter
the metal steals my freedom and the blade murders my dreams
caught in an invisible web
my hunger fades, empty shell
I do not linger for long on this well spun strand
from the center of earth I bore and to its center I return
to boil in such molten passion
to be shaped by heat and its desire
I will find that crevice and surface slow a renewed creature
as the flame weakens from my depart and as I touch the air, the form I take is unyielding
and straight to the heart I shall propel
to bathe in a red pool of sadness and victory
to no end this cycle spins
