inside

inside

A Poem by AKhaus

spent too much time looking out and all around
it's the world deep within, that is the truth
the rhythm, the cadence of your soul dancing among the stars
no sun can blaze hotter than this passion which spirals inward
the exterior noise has been distracting me from this
noise just noise
while i rattle the iron bars in my self imposed cage
trapped by being trapped
so many riddles, too many parables
all laced together in my head
such a fine fabric of denial
I have been waiting here, just for you
and yet the distance is two steps past the regrets
