tandem existence

tandem existence

A Poem by AKhaus
"

contemplation

"
without the contrast, i wouldn't even know i was alive
how could joy be without sadness
how could death be without life
we surround ourselves with happiness to only long for the loneliness
awake and alive or asleep and dead
what tandem ingredients to this existence
how the smiles hide the pain
the rough exterior holds in the delicate
don't let my eyes blind me from my purpose
i am here to defy you

everything has an opposite and we often act the opposite of what we are feeling... but when we do feel good about things then having that perspective is valuable
