beautifulA Poem by FaeryQueen9.29.21 6.31pm . . . ╭-°"✞"˚✧❨✧˚"✞"°-╮ Lines of your poetry are pressed into
my skin, Burnt into my flesh, I know only of you, . . . Please, I beg the sun and moon to allow me to
see you one last time, But they say it proves only that we
should be apart, and that I should end up alone . ✿ . I fly with wings made of chains and
lean into the current of your thoughts, These chains are bathed in the light
that you brought with you upon meeting me, ╰-°"✞"˚✧❨✧˚"✞"°-╯ . ❅ ✣ ❅ . I am but a servant, fallen for your
charm, I’ve been watching too many historical
fiction shows, But I’m the honey on your arm, I’ve fallen for the preacher in the
church of my town, He seems to heal my wounds, and chase
away my frown, . ❅ . They say none is like the love of a
poets’ recital, When they sing, they shelter you with
their warmth, I’ve heard of such things, but never
knew of them to be true, That is, until I headed North, and I
saw you. . ❅ . And up there, I saw a tavern I never
thought I’d see, With weeping willows and footmen that
shed their tears as they bleed, Upon the trunk, an inscription, this is
what it reads: . *.:。✧*.。✰*.:。✧*.。:。 why
do weeping willows weep, I ask myself? how
come they have such sweet bark to eat ❥ as
I’m there, under it- it stares back at me I
peel the bark back and eat from its seed but
the weeping willow continues to weep by my feet. *.:。✧*.。✰*.:。✧*.。:。 .
❆ .
I
went up to the tree and took off my shoes, Climbed
up the branches, with a footman or two, Went
all the way to the top, and looked to the south, To
my great surprise, I saw you. ❅ I
peered over the edge and fell in your eyes, You
climbed up the branches, with your hands on mine As
you reach the top, I pulled you up, a sea of ladybugs and fireflies comfort us
as they join together to be our bed, And
there we lay, as if on air- and in a sense, we were alone, . But
mother nature is always watching, So
don’t do anything cheeky, .
