the long journey of loveA Poem by FaeryQueenon the spotI told myself I’d never think to include that I was supposed to be far away And he never came The auburn rain The fire that would soon ease my trembling brain And he did suffice In the lonlier nights When i was all alone inside Nothing compares No reason, no fair You’re not here I’m in your eyes Forever this time No more hurt will Knock on your door I reside far away I got wings, I’m part of the pain But here from now I am a Fae A thousand rainfalls can never muck up this place The tilted castle lays on her side She is crying but not on the outside There’s nothing to eat There’s nowhere to go So she tightens her sash and tugs at her hope Wishing for a thunderstorm She wants to be alive Hope isn’t the answer And neither is strife Living another day Put new chemicals in her brain And alike from the new cathedrals She weeps for the silver bells But this place is full of pain and she broke bones In the end, she trusts no friends, she wants to be alone No troubling words or minds of ice, she knows where she belongs Step by step she does undress the wounds of future nodes Bit by bit she chips the ice and falls onto her own She likes the pain, yearns for the flames, she burns but doesn’t cry Snowfall hits her every move, she thinks but doesn’t die I know where she hides But she no longer hides © 2019 FaeryQueen |
