I never knew how the fairies spoke

They never talked to me 

I never knew the gates

That they built to keep us in

From wandering far away

From our destiny

Here’s to broken dreams

And to frustration

Humans feel it most

When on the brink of

Desperation

Humans are humans

And so we say the prayers

Ancient tongue of old

We say it while we’re young

Tell me something dear

Do you think you hear it too?

The jingle of the bells

As the fairies speak to you

Do you see a white light

Sometime in the depth of night

Do you feel a little warmth

As the fairies prepare a talk

Tell me you feel the same

When the fairies call your name

Tell me you don’t get scared

If you do the fairies go away

Tell them you mean no harm
