"Wordless melodies" khatoon hazara |||2:46pm fri. 3.29.19

The Shakes have overtaken all that I've known

I can sense that the tidal wave of remorse won't pass me by

I have nothing of remorse in my heart and all the wrong I've always thought I've done simply... whisked away into the realm of reasoning

I no longer hold the cord of Fate, of Chance, of the world

whatever may happen, can happen with all of my good intentions and all of my best wishes

Be it not bad, so the public won't see me as their enemy

For I do not wish to be seen as the enemy of my people, rather an airtight ally

But bad things do happen; that is how the world balances itself on it's beam

It must not fall, lest the sun would gouge out her eyes and burn her heart from the inside

See, the world is like us in many ways; it too suffers from peer pressure and bullying

I've been told there is a fairy tale hidden among the world between ours, the sun and the moon

I've been told it went something of this liking:

Our Earth was as happy as she could be

provided by the sun and the moon; light and darkness

night and day

But, sometime after the dinosaurs left, the sun grew even more angry

the sun loved the dinos so much, she

accidentally- in her joy- set off an asteroid that destroyed

most- if not all- of the species

that is what started her rage

that is what started the imbalance

She felt so terrible afterwards, she tried to hide it; catastrophe and death were all that she saw as she tossed and turned every night

she seeked comfort in the moon; told him about all the dreams, her regret, her envy towards our earth

the moon did not resent her

the moon did not get angry

the moon listened and listened

the sun told the moon that her stars did not want to hear her laments

the stars were communicating with one another, but they never spoke to her

after she breathed again, she looked in earnest at the moon

"you are strong" the moon said

"do not let envy control you"

"you are the epitome of our beautiful nation, the reason

we have all come together again"
