I can say so much
I can hoist up my pants, squat in the middle of the dirt and tell you a novel
I can plow dirt and plant seeds that grow into bushels of trees, I can rest on the back of a camel and watch the sky rise and fall
I can draw my veins on the back of my hand and trace my bloodline back a thousand years; I can shovel the dirt from the hurt and tell you the blood elements that make up who I am
I can show you images of  little girls getting married and barely 16 year olds getting ready to
I can show you two people, one holding her son and the other, her age, just married
I can show you hungry eyes and pained smiles
I can show you trophies filled with collected, compressed tears
I can take you to the graves of my bearers' parents; and theirs before them, and theirs before them...
I can show you pages of print, written in the blood and tears of all those that came before us
I am living proof this is
But do you know what else I am living proof of?
Change.
