'Tis I, a Beast

'Tis I, a Beast

A Poem by FaeryQueen

-------
Turn away,
I'm not human, anymore
Don't look at my face,
It'll fill you with so much disgrace,

I've got horns now,
I've got thorns poking out, of my skin,
Don't know where, to, begin,
I miss human, human, humanity,

Turn away,
Turn your face, to me,
Let me see your abstractions, let me touch your unholy grace,
So that I may,
Clear all, that can be cleared,

I've been searching,
For my own kind,
My own mind, My own,
For my own,

I have tykes now,
Small, little children that look up to me, somehow,
How do they,
Not run away,
Aren't I ... scary to them?

I've been to wars,
I know that they hurt, I,
Want to heal them, so,
I may renew my faith,

I am a beast,
A murderous thing, indeed,
Poison in my, veins,
I don't look the same,

When I feel my face, I feel steel,
And metal, copper wires replace my arteries.
Blood is oil, and water I don't drink,
I am scared,
Of what I have become
