A Tale of SOmething Cold-Blooded

A Tale of SOmething Cold-Blooded

A Poem by FaeryQueen

I know why,
You cry cry, cry
At night,

Is it because of me?
Did I I, I,
Do it right?

Tell me,
Pretties,
Take your time,
Say it right,
Don't shoot on sight,

I've made up my mind,
I'm leavin',
For good, this time,
All the good you did me, delusional delusional, oh,
Oh, dear,
I've made quite a mess, I feel queer,
Now everyone who knew me once will see me again,

Let's Let's, let's,
Let's play pretend,
Love, honey, dear, we were more than friends
Don't sell us short,
We weren't informed,

Well, take me by the tail, hold me nice,
Coz I am frail,
Honey, I love you,
Crazy about you,
And I don't plan to,
Take my time with you

Oh, time is so weak,
Never too meek,
To show us a good time,

I am wondering,
If you may be pondering my absence,
Since I flew away,
Does it rip out your lungs?
Make it hard for you to breathe?
Does it fill you up?
Is it strong enough? Oh
Oh, Oh

Honey, I,
Have to much time,
But it's all devoted,
To you,

Not that kind,
No, I don't love you anymore,
But I used to,
Oh, you were all that,
I adored,

I miss,
Your kiss,
And you telling me that I thought too much,
Could you ever,
Give me up?
Given the chance, I know you'd pass,

Oh, isn't this lovely?
Your wife's all up on you,
And I'm no where in sight,
What happened to this party?
Isn't this a table for three?
What happened to me?
Wasn't I invited?

I was the one,
I gave you the invitation,
Did you rip it up?
Like you ripped my heart?
Did the pieces go unnoticed?
What about the usher,
What was his name, David, Goliath, or maybe James?
Did he hide it?
Was he ordered to?
It was my very best calligraphy,
From my heart to you,

Now both of you are here,
And the special's off, uncleared
You ordered the Peking Duck,
Oops, the cook was a cluck,
His shirt button did so pop,

And the button went in,
With the wine,
And all this time,
I still haven't returned,
Aren't you worried now?
What ever can I be,
Up to,
Can I be,
So conniving,
As to,
Play with your food,

I had to see it to,
The music in the room,
Was calm,
Was quiet,
And put everyone,
In a relaxed mood,

I had to make my move,
I had to do it soon,
Make my move,
What's there to prove,
No,
I spoke too soon,

While the both of you are enjoying,
Dinner for two,
And the music must be pretty loud,
I saw you from the kitchen window,
You had on your tuxedo,
What a swoon,
What a guy!
Make it work,
You put me on the line,

Oh, oh, oh, oh

Your girl,
With her hand on the stem,
She picks it up, her pinkie finger waving to us little people,
And she takes a swig,
Oh, it must've been a sight to behold,
For that button was quite big,

And that cook,
Oh, the felonies he's done,
All the things,
You don't know,
Was it in cash, or check,
I don't quite remember yet,
But your girl was the star of the show,

Oh, the music,
Drowned her out,
Her singing voice,
God, her mom can't be proud,
But oh, that note,
The one she belted out,
She sung it loud,
You must be proud,

Congrats, I,
Don't mean to burst your bubble, but, I
Overheard, I overhead,
Her on the phone,
That instant you left her alone, with me, unknowingly,
Oh, how remorsefull I must feel,
You must think this is real,
Oh, the trouble you find with me,
And your wife,
Unintentionally,

God, I wish I remembered what she said,
When she was on the phone with her mother,
Oh, the useless words,
Runnin' around my head,
I'm tryna sort them out,
But your voice is pretty loud,
And right now,

I dashed from the kitchen, after seeing the show,
I asked you a question, but you said that you don't know,
Well, then I proceeded to bombard you with observations,
And I told you what I heard,

I told you that she told,
Her mother she was holding something,
She said she doesn't know whose listening,
She called me a creep,
She said I was a freak, she did Oh
But it's all her fault, it is now,

You stood up really fast,
You held me by the back and shook,
And shook, and rattled until something else spilled,
Out of my mouth,
"... she said she was pregnant, she told her she was going to abort it..."

Oh, how I dropped to my knees,
Begged someone, as you watched me bleed,
I told the usher, "Don't touch me!"

I looked down next to me,
And I And I,
Saw a body,
I laughed, yes I did, I did it so not to make you cry. Let me hold you one last time. Come here before she dies. So as the last thing she sees will be us, never saying goodbye. Baby, your love was held up by lies.

Now I sit under the Willow tree,
Remembering a delusion, fondly,
I think I'll just sit and weep,
Love, honey dear, you're nothing to me.
