"Silent Still"A Poem by FaeryQueenby Khatoon Hazara on January 25. © Khatoon Hazara, All rights reserved
Silent still,
I'll wait for you, if you will. I'll be near the train tracks, waiting for your person to come back. I'll be the lady in black, mourning that change that killed my pride. I'll be the lady standing alone, over there; front and center, with two hands held close by her waist, grasping a leather bag, pale pink. I'll be the lady, standing, then kneeling waiting for a train that has long ago left without me. © 2017 FaeryQueen |
