"As if"

"As if"

A Poem by FaeryQueen

The darkness is overwhelming.
It chills me to the bone the way you said those last words of yours.
Like a whispered prayer.
I wish nothing but the best for you.
i wish nothing but the worst for you.
I'm not too sure of it anymore; which it is I choose.
But you struggled to send them to me, as if the last piece of humanity was in them,
and somehow you'd be able to cure me.
But... how would you be able to cure me when I have no idea how to?
I'm alright, thank you ever so much for asking about my well-being, as if you did.
As if you still cared about me, the bittersweet stench is drowning into the marrow of my bones.
I don't like thinking this way; I don't like feeling this way, you cut me off.
As if I still cared.
As if I'd let you anywhere near the silhouette of my grace.
No
..
Not this time around.

Somehow I want to say, "AMEN!"
"...near the silhouette of my grace." love that!
I enjoyed this written piece of anguish.
Thank you for sharing!
