“Another Joker”

KH

I’ve been played again
and again;
I’ve been spinning round
and round;
restless.

I’m ready to collapse
 on the ground
 and take a nap,
a break
 and isolate myself
from everyone
 and their realities’.

The world is spinning too fast for me
 to open my eyes,
 I’m afraid for my heart
 because if it beats again,
 it might be too soon.

When you’re living 1/10th of a second
faster
than what you’re normally used to,
it takes an interest
and increases
 twice as much.

Look here;
another joker
has been played,
look here;
look
here!

Welcome
to this superficial ordeal,
 but
 excuse me,
I’m not
a part of this,
 I must be
moving along now.
Here,
something
for your troubles…

Light Action

Flips a card,
slicing
 the air; as it comes back down,
it lands sharply
on its side;
 face-up.

An image of a man
peers up to the clouds,
riding
 on a unicycle.

His smile
spreads from one cheek
to the next.

His eyes seem
 pupil-less.

The whites of his eyes
 are saturated with whitening chemicals
and filler toxins.
