"It Rained Last Night"

Well, for only a little while, it did

I bet you don't believe me, do you?

It did, and though I wish to prove it did so, I can't

For the sake of humanity and everything involved

Anyways; the rain lulled me to sleep for a while

It did too!

I went into that forest... the one where I've always wanted to go in

I went there

The rain was making a tremendous amount of noise on the canopy of those trees

Oh, but it was wonderful!

Walking underneath the dank sky

What bliss!

There was not even a breeze of wind to interrupt the raindrops

Tapp-Tapp-Tapping on those leaves they fell upon

I was walking for quite some time, my legs became weary

I decided walking wasn't the best way to listen to what the rain had to say

Or rather, what secrets the rain would tell me

I stopped mid-thought

I was thinking about whether I would actually listen

Because usually, I would go off into a stare, looking up at the formation of the clouds

I looked up on this particualar night; no clouds

So I stopped, wonder in my veins and sat on the mossy ground

Say Rain, I am listening now

What have you got to lose?

You Wonder Too Much,

Hush Now, Dear Child, Wonderment In All Of Its' Glory Reflective In Your Eyes

Hush Now And Just Listen]

So I sat and listened to the rain

Listening and listening and listening

After a while, that rain became my damp bed and I began to sleep on it

It was the coolness of it all, I assumed, that after a while it all went away

It all went away and by the time I woke, Well...

The rain had stopped.

this means that one day it was rainy and it was night time and then i fell asleep and had a dream about walking in to a forest where it was raining and it felt nice so i started to wake up and when i woke up, the rain stopped

I really enjoyed this poem, i could feel the rain on my own thoughts too. I admired the small moment too where the rain in a sense spoke to you. Strangely beautiful.
