"Paris"

By: Khatoon Hazara

Paris comes and Paris goes,

I'll give it all away, just so you know

Shells upon broken shells

Homes upon empty doors

The heart that beats and beats again

All I wanted was just a friend

People rely on broken hearts

And beggars are just kept in the dark

The rain that washes all my pain

Then stands out in front of a train

Blood upon metallic shift

That's how it goes a lovers' continental drift

Paris comes and Paris goes

Don't kill her because she knows

Shells upon empty shells

Homes upon empty doors
