~ The 2 Sisters ~A Chapter by FaeryQueen
The breeze outside was wailing, flipping my
hair, throwing back my face
I closed my eyes
I heard sounds; distant from those I was
currently hearing
I
saw the night approaching quickly in the east
Two
girls were flapping their skirts, holding one umbrella high over their heads
while it was pouring
A
man was walking behind them; no umbrella
His
pants had soaked through and his hair; a mop on his head
He
was relieved of his suit, only his undershirt remained; even that had soaked
through
The
train continued forward; the two girls stopped at an intersection
The
man had his hand out to call a taxi
One
of the girls told the other girl something which made her blush and turn around
“Something
for solace…”
The
blushing girl went up to the man
The
man stopped and adjusted his suit he was carrying over his shoulder
The
girl stopped the man and spoke softly in his ear while stifling back a giggle
The
blushing girl went back to her friend and told her to do the same thing
Her
friend went over to the man who still hadn’t
moved and gave him a peck on the cheek
The
rain was falling harder now
The
train’s siren blared and I came out of my memories
“WE’RE
HOME! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT, WE’RE…”
A
woman my age came into the caboose, where I was, and stared at me
“OH
SORRY! I THOUGHT YOU WERE…”
She
didn’t finish her sentence as she was already turned
around; heading back inside the train
The
rain was so loud
I
wonder what Burlesque is doing
I
looked at my watch; it was 3; rain clouds had already formed I the sky; getting
thicker with every moment that passed
I
wonder if my tea was cold
I
took one more look at the darkening sky
I
let out a sigh
I
bet I could sit here for hours and just… watch the sky and the
rain
And so I did © 2016 FaeryQueen |
