“Let These Feathered Wings Fly”

Let these feathered wings fly

Let them take off to the sky

I bet no one will miss me when I’m gone

 

These wings have been oiled in preparation

Ready to take off into my imagination

I’ll only progress in time

 

But if you keep on demeaning me and say

I have gone off and strayed the wrong way

Nothing good will come forth

 

Let these feathered wings fly

I’m not saying goodbye

But I’m telling myself I can

 

The sky is the limit

My freedom is my business

And nobody will care but me

 

Someone just try to define

My purpose and my life

And I swear to you, you’ll never learn

 

Let these feathered wings fly

They are but my demise

Let these feathered wings fly, and if they fall

Then at least I can say that I’ve tried

and also, for those of you that know how i am with my poem, fresh out of my brain; i really hold them at a standard so high, for those of you who know that, yes, i am self- conscious about ALL of my poems, so just, be honest.................. you don't have to fib, uh- kay???????????/////
