The CaveA Chapter by FaeryQueenotsI am with no one, and with
everyone all at once, the sky turns a shade of grey I never knew existed. There is a scene of a mountain looming in the
foreground. I
almost think I see the snow-capped peak but I don’t, the sky is much too dull. The intensity of a crowd
is overwhelming to my eyes so I must stray away from them. I must become my own shadow and dislodge myself from the attachment
I have become. There is a small cave, north or south of where I am;
the direction does not matter. I am slowly walking away from everyone’s
thoughts, From everyone’s words, From everyone’s judgmental stares, Their crispy eyes burning a hole through to my soul, I can sense that they
sense my weakness; it radiates from my pores. When I took a step, the
prints were left on the snow and everyone’s eyes were on me. They were all wondering
the same thing; where on earth is she going? I took my paces, one at a
time, all the way to the mouth of the cave. When I stood in front of
it, eyes wide open and mouth hung low, I started to step back. I wanted to go on top, Wanted to find out why it’s so majestic, The people followed me, a
group of them, paranoia, I’d call them, There was nothing that was
there to stop me from going inside, So I went inside and the
cave collapsed.
