Breaking The Chains

Breaking The Chains

A Poem by FaeryQueen

Here I am, shouting with my arms wide enough for the whole entire world to seek shelter in.

I am lonely, but you are here, and I can hear your heavy breathing,

Your sound makes something like an atomic bomb go off inside of me; it’s funny the things love makes you feel.

And with you in my world and I swear it’s the only thing keeping us a part; the concept of distance, I promise with all of my eternity, I won’t let that separate us.

Distance; do not think I am lazy; I am only biding my time; overstepping the obstacles so they might part on their own.

I do not wish them conflict, nor the burden of a toppling avalanche.

So the obstacles, I wish of you one thing and one thing only; freedom.

Grow your wings and take flight because if you stay, you just might get hurt and die.

Please, I wish you no pain and I wish you no pleasure, obstacles, the ones I’ve seen crossing that line so many times; get lost.

I regard you in a manner that is most appropriate, in a manner in which you’ve taught me how to beget the very worst of situations.

You’ve taught me to face them; the fire still burning with the passion of a martyrs’ beauty.

The love is still bright; still high, only rising.

Never once in my entirety have I cursed our name or doubted our hydrosphere.

The one that we have inside my mind; the life we live.

We can learn how to be pessimistic; the foliar in this small town, or maybe be the sun in the rain; optimism.

Though yes, I do admit, this concept, the one that the entirety of the world is trying to teach us; that one, this concept is very vague and obtuse; please sir, be more precise.

I do not wish to hold a stick to a circle, blaspheming him only because he is a circle.

A circle should have the right to be a circle, as a girl has the right to be a girl, as an individual has the right to individualize their selves from one another.

Let me love…

Let me love him, the one that I love with all of my heart; he is slowly melting into my brain and I’m smiling every day, though the deprivation, even if it’s for a minute, is extreme.

I will most likely not get used to the distance, though, soon that will all change.

That and many others.
