Cross It OutA Poem by FaeryQueenotsCross it out. No. Why not? I
think it’s good, don’t cross it out, please? We’ll see…
What are you doing? Sometimes I wonder so frequently, But then again, I forget you’ve been out for a while, You have both eyes closed, Where are we? We’re on a beach, Where the sun glares at us as if to say, ‘Children
lost are children guided by the light’, You
remind me of a robot, Or
a dictionary, Or
something in between, Your
words speak so valiantly, But
you hold me at a standard so high, Best
regards to you, In
all your blossoming glory, To
you, I am gold, but to me, what am I but a coal miner?
Tsk tsk, You dare hold yourself to be at such a low level? When nothing but gold comes forth your mouth? Tis naught but a minor flaw in your illusion, I cherish thee, Nothing but the sound of your memory, Nothing but ashes on the ground every time I think,
and I think so dangerously, Please be careful now; gloves on both your hands
before you touch me
Oh,
god, Here
we go again, Talking
in riddles until your tongue gets tied up in knots, And
you can’t seem to find the right words anymore, Time, What
is time, you say, Always
wondering until you’ve walked far away, Maybe
next time she’ll tell you, it’s not that important anyways, Ah! Prized possessions’ always have caught me off-guard, It was in your nature, wasn’t it? To always get me all so curious, It was your gift, Lifted me from the sadness I was in, No one could’ve done that but you, No one I would’ve wanted to anyways, You’ve
wanted me, Now
and forevermore, I
know, You’ve
told me, I
know, You
say such things, I’m
on a string and it feels as if I’m tipping, But
I’m tipping with you
