There Lies The Truth

There Lies The Truth

I once believed in myself,

But I don’t anymore,

Do you?

Can you believe in me like you did before?

No one sees this circumstance like I do,

And I see so many things,

Can you see the things I also see?

This love is my biggest accomplishment; I think I finally did something that I’m proud of,

Can you keep track of my fantastic delusions?

And the way I always smile so wide,

Can you hold my hand and keep dreaming and hoping and giving?

Keep your eyes open; I might grow too fast,

I’m scared; hold me tight,

Don’t let me go; give it all you got,

I’ve given you everything, every part of me,

I’m completely, wholly, utterly, hopelessly yours,

Don’t let our youth distract us,

We were made old,

Our souls have survived countless societal changes,

We never strayed from one another,

We were revolving around and around,

Until finally,

I came to you and opened up your eyes and made you see me,

And we fell in love, didn’t we?
