Nothing in this world is absolute, and we must all learn that

Before we learn it too late

 

This can be said about you too

You, who are arrogant, unprepared

Seemingly, you have everything in control, only to turn around and realize you haven’t even put your shoes on

You were about to walk outside the door with no shoes, no socks, empty-handed; that’s the worst

To face life empty-handed

Unprepared

You say time understands; time will wait

Time gets why you’ve learned too late

Time gets everything you did wrong

And time

Gave you a second chance

To change

“But time,

How could you be so cruel?

You said you were my best friend,

I thought you’d always have my back,

What happened?”

The truth is; no.

We won’t ever understand time the way we’ve always wanted to understand time

And though we never will

We can learn to accept time

And all of his aspects

Even if

He starts taking the lives

Of our loved ones
