Think About Me

Think About Me

When you look at me, see me, not just surviving, but living out my dreams.

Because all I’ve ever wanted is in your eyes tonight, I can finally breathe.

I can understand it when you say you’ve had enough, or when you say that you’re not in the mood.

That depressing stage; a mantra we chant every morning, when we wake up, to when we go to sleep again.

Something about this life seems out of one of the pages of my story books.

I hate how reality is scarred on your face

The very aspect of time chiseled on your upper eyelids

The framework of the Grand Matrix brushed over your lips

I hardly see the sun rising out from the innards of your scalp

I traced the sun set, gently along the bridge of your nose

I was afraid the vultures might take you away from me again so I held on so tight

I never wanted you to leave me

Look

I’m a mess on the carpet

The velvet gloss is almost fading

I can hear the bell toll three times

But that doesn’t mean anything to me

A mere distraction

Your eyes resemble the stars when you look at me like that

Your nose is a button; a sunset in a nutshell

Your lips, they speak wonders to me

The way I cry, you said my tears resemble celestial orbs still stuck in outer space

‘They’ll come down soon enough’

You’re so interesting

All of the others

They keep talking about things so monotonous to us

Let me in

And wrap your strong arms around me

Because I might lose you

And you might lose me

And then

We may never see each other again

Think about me

And how messed up I’d be without you
