Imagine

Imagine

A Poem by FaeryQueen
"

a request; on the spot [Willard Wells]

"

I have closed my eyes

To reality

Sinking in too deep

Into a breeze that I can subtly hear now, coming from outside

The chilled air, is thawing

And the sun rose

From my mind, the heat feels so refreshing

I wish I could hold this moment in my hands

The sun is waving “hello”

Hello

Hello

Hello…

I walk out to the water and stretch my arms, palms up and shout out

“YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!”

I missed this feeling, of being near the ocean, the sun, opening pores on my skin, pouring them out again

The salty taste

Of the ocean

Is seducing me

Lulling me

To go somewhere

Near it

Near the ocean

I wade, my feet soaked

Staring at the sun now, I can feel my fantasy begin to fade and I shiver

But I grab ahold of the sun before it melts away in discreet places in my mind
