Fantasy Characters

Fantasy Characters

A Poem by FaeryQueen
"

on the spot

"

Sometimes, he comes in my dreams, the one I used to call my lover.

But he was a fantasy, a made-up character I envisioned in my head to soothe my tender love with.

He never really cared for me; pinning down lovers was his game.

But, I thought he was more than what he gave to me.

He was a thought I thought the wrong way, I never knew I had that many characters in me.

When I needed his love the most; darkness is what he put me under, waiting for an eternity until I could just breathe again.

There was nothing there for me, I knew that, yet I insisted there was.

But with the many broken bottles littering his home, and the way he looks at me, with so much passion he’d fool you for the night, I was stolen.

I was gone

Without a trace

I wanted to erase myself and just…

Disappear

Just like he did.
