"My Depth Of Eternal Decrepitude"

"My Depth Of Eternal Decrepitude
I'm in an abyss, slowly running, walking, trotting, moving my aching muscles.
I'm tired of always being in the same destination, the one I'm always ending up being in.
Time is at a standstill, when I'm running free of what I'm running from.
The darkness seems enchanting, the kind that makes
you wander, roaming until finally your heart seems to say to stop.
But when you stop, you find something has changed.
Time has gone, unknowingly, but time only knows of his departure.

"Time, have you finally reached into the pits of hell to reward me of this gift of pain,
the one you gave me a millennium ago?"
Time laughs, described as a story book character makes him do that.
"No, my dear friend, I haven't. But this moment that you have, you only have once,
this life that you lived, has only been just one big moment,
 nothing out of the given."
Time speaks in riddles, our greatest accomplishments that we will
accomplish, will be to decode these riddles.

Where has the sky gone when it becomes all dark?
Why can some parts of the world see the stars,
and some parts of the world can't see the stars?
Why have we abandoned our playgrounds and replaced it with something material?
Where have the children gone, the ones we've dreamed about,
the ones we've raised in our minds, the ones who will have enough
power to rule the world with their intellect and dignity?

But while I'm thinking all these thoughts, I'm still in that abyss.
My destination hasn't changed, still running to the end of the line, not moving.
But how do you run without moving?
