"Mismatched Colo[u]rs"

"Mismatched Colo[u]rs"

A Poem by FaeryQueen

"Mismatched Colo[u]rs"
what is

the color of the rainbow? Why can't it make up its mind? But, i can tell you something,

that rainbow is like me! The colors of the sky

mirror, like a shadow, not, or a river, dancing through the currents.
i never liked the clouds, anyway
the way it rains makes me sad
the colors are drab
faded
grey

there's a sensual way

the sun pulls at the clouds

the way

the way the clouds glaze over

looking over us

or maybe, it's us. Maybe we are drab

we wear garments

blinding us to nonexistence

the clouds

have more of an eye for color

what do we know, really? The way the sky is, or how the raindrops climb all the way up.

fuzz
smooth and rough
dried and wet
moist
begetting something else
forgetting
how to breathe
yet we live as one
one
patch
of grey
the other, amber
and another may be green
row to row
column to column
section to section
colored in
filled in
line us up
one by one
call them
by their names
red
blue
purple
aquamarine
chartreuse
...
