we must rise up

but our chains

they drag us down

the chains have chains

and those have chains

so really

what hope is there

we may not have

we may not eat

starvation

is our only key

but our master

is the only master

who forgives

who restrains

who portions

she doesn't want to kill us

it's all those dirty words you hear

about us

but what would make me implode

upon

such a wonderful thing

why not?

we talk

we read

we listen

we feel

we cry

we touch

we taste

we feel

we sing

we walk

we run

we scream

we yell

we shudder

we fear

why do you fear the notion of us

existing

we are only human

we are not emotions

that come and go

we are simplistic ideas of the mind

that talk

that share

that laugh

we have lives too

no matter how messed up we live

we still live

and we need a home

our souls have been tied

to a single

thread

and now i am confused 

by what 

we breathe

is it oxygen

lies

deceit

toxin?
