chemical

explicable

being

but i am a body

of most things

here in my moat

i sit all alone

hearing

feeling

touching

yet so alone

i socialize

and yet am mortified

when someone remembers me

most people don't

and again i am told

that i was amplified

as i sat one day

staring at someones toupee

my body was telling of us

my mouth was speaking of some

unfortunate arrival

a mystical survival

that somehow ended in surplus

but this is not what happened

that, i can tell you my friends

she was lying

this was not the end

the truth i do seek

with me and my pals

forever embedded in one

a single body

a bit too cramped

but here

i can show you

i've won

not by domination

or by insubordination

but with words

as simple as these

she thinks as equal

she says doctors think well

but not as well as she

i want to fly

i said one day 

while looking out the window

she then began to cry

i wiped her tears away

while still looking out the window

she took my hand

looked into my eyes

and kissed my worry lines and said

all the words

that sounded absurd

but burrowed deep

inside my head

"you'll be fine

we'll both be divine

sipping shots of reality

but don't be scared

i will be here

if you ever need me"

she said

i have to go

my stories'

been told

there's nothing here for me 

now
