Darkness Comes

Darkness Comes

A Poem by FaeryQueen
"

on the spot

"
so much
pain
in the night
full of joy
tis'
was only a decoy
a fake
to plant something
innocent in your brain
a cover up
a mask
to hide
something sinister
the shadows on your wall...

they dance
like they've never
seen the light
but the world
at its darkest
struggles to survive
one night
at
a time

the moon rises
and falls
just like
everything else
your wishes
that whisper
wisps into your brain
disintegrate
at the slightest graze
of something dark
something evil
and chaotic

let your guard down
flow with the river
only they know
objects
and obstacles
of our demise
they can see
and hear
just as the rest of us do

lie down
close your eyes
let the moon talk nonsense in your ear
let him lull you to sleep
and don't wake
till darkness comes

You are definitely getting better at what is already as about as perfect as it can get. This is a lengthy poem but brilliantly written. Full of imagery, alliteration and emotion this is a great write. I love the structure, How do you do the structure and add the images? Maybe I should start adding some imagery to my poems and maybe that will make them better. Thanks for sharing such wonderful poetry with me I deeply appreciate your writing.
