Who Am I?

Who Am I?

A Poem by kharte

the unflinchingly bright
familiar light of the screen
this mouth-less thing
trying too hard to separate
the borrowed record player
from the quiet prayer
she’s wanting to come home
but she knows
i’m not ready to see her
except for through the glass
where she uses her mouth
i love all of her sound
it’s the only reason i come around
all the time she’s on her knees
-(i pray for you)KH
