Suffering in retrospect.A Poem by Fairy Khan
It is colored hopeless,
black like a bad dream, my life; and this faith which I can still see, or is it getting faint by the moment? And my heart, is it sinking or just wasted? God knows I try, but my sins are too heavy for my back to carry, so I am suffocating as I breathe, I am suffering in retrospect, then why? Why do you trap me in this body that I no longer recognise? Break me lose from these shackles, either set my heart free or my soul. I ask of you nothing, but mercy, for the sinner that cries to you for help. © 2021 Fairy KhanReviews
