The Fools of Paradise.A Poem by Fairy Khan
How do we become the fools of paradise
even though we live in hell? Why do we let hope kill us? Why don't we get down the carousel? Why do we ask questions we already know the answers to? Why do we say that the sky is green when it won't make it any less blue. Though the carousel doesn't stop turning, But let's just take a leap of faith. Maybe, we'll land on our feet, There's a chance, even if the chance is wraith. Why do we expect people to be more like us? Why don't we just let them be? Why do we burden ourselves with all the damage? Why don't we set ourselves free? Why does it still cause pain? Why does it still hurt? If I could, my dear heart, You, I'd dead desert. Though the carousel doesn't stop turning, But let's just take a leap of faith. Maybe, we'll land on our feet, There's a chance, even if the chance is wraith. © 2019 Fairy KhanReviews
