My heart You have been The source of every pain That ever has happened to me Why are you belonging to her, although you are living inside me, Or, at least, you are supposed to be! I will no longer let you out of my control I will never love anyone you tell me you feel you have to obey my laws, to follow my rules if you feel you can't, leave me I can live without heart, but cant without dignity. If you are to leave, leave me quietly seek another body so you can freely do your silly deeds as you used to do with me
I love the angle of having a good talking-to with your heart. Emotions make us do "silly" things sometimes. I did think the poem was concrete at first so it through me off a little bit.
Awww... the heart can cause us so much pain..
i love how beautifully written this is. heartfelt, deep and so moving..
It touches me.. if we could tell our hearts to speak how we truely feel... oh gosh...
if only we could tell our hearts what to feel! this is a beautiful, well written piece that addresses a feeling so many of us have had, especially after heartbreak. i love how you've composed this, it reminds me of both sandra cicneros and it sort of hearkens to classic odes. i really really enjoyed this. thank you.
Agree with the author's note! Haha! XD
Totally...But anyway, although sometimes our hearts give us so much pain, it also gives happiness in it's own magical way...
The poem is quite poignant but I enjoyed it...Great work...
:)))
Mmmmm, the heart may be silly sometimes. It turns us into slaves and fools. Its good you are reading it the Riot Act!
But hey, wait, doesn't it also helps us experience and enjoy wonderful and beautiful feelings?
Anyway, this was a wonderful piece Khalid, keep it up man!
Thanks for sharing.
Nicely said. The heart is the hardest working muscle in the body, and sometimes gets deleriously tired, and silly. Rest is then the best thing. Rest between bouts of love is most important given the nature of the heart's work. Thanks for this inspirational write that makes me think, puts my brain to work. Well written.
