people are destroying nature, till when?

 

 

 

To this crazy world, I don’t feel I belong

With all its noise, pollution and crowdedness

Cars, planes, rockets, factories, bombs, weapons

Wars, hatred, cheating, dishonesty and selfishness

Where's love? Where's peace? Where's mutual respect?

Bad singers, loud music, machines' sound

Bad words are always heard

Why  can I no longer  hear the birds sing?

Why is everything artificial? Does nature still exist?

How can I have a nap, without setting my alarm clock?

How can i pass a day, without hearing my mobile ring?

I miss the taste of nature, I miss the stars' brightness

Dirty water, dirty air, dirty land

Dirty morals, dirty talks, dirty deeds

Smoking, drugs, poverty,  homeless kids

Oh, man! You are responsible for all of this

All creatures hate you, don’t you feel it?

Deforestation, pollution, global warmth

Are you going to do more ?what's next?

We are on a wave together and you would be surprised how many are. Not alone in your angst. Try another poem with finding one thing you are grateful for. I found myself long ago writing poems that spit my venom and that never served me. Bring your frequency up! Blessings.

I've had similar thoughts as both you and I agree with Lina Grey. This is a very true (sadly) and thought provoking poem .. We must remember not only ourselves who will live and use our planet but future generations. Because decisions today effect tomorrow, just like any thing you say or do. In school we learn about all these "developing" countries, more commonly known as "third-world", where people depend on nature for their needs, and I'm always sitting there in class wondering why I couldn't have been put in a place like that, because it's so amazing and simple and clean. I also don't at all understand the world's extreme love for New York, because that place is filthy and awful! People tend to be soo obsessed with getting ahead and making life easier and busier and "better" that they forget life in general. They kill the earth we live on, they ignore each other, just absolutely. I love how direct your poem is in expressing this, because we can't really take back the damage past generations have caused and we can't really fix them. e can try but really we just have to deal with them....sorry, your poem is really thought-provoking. Great job.
