Venomous RebirthA Poem by Obsidian WaveInspired by snakes and change.Tongueless, but not like before. A familiar silence spiked with something extra. The cleanest shoes void of dirt and grass stains.
Third time's the charm, but who's counting? Envying the phoenix hasn't gotten us too far. Rebirth is not a right. It is a privilege to fight against yourself. To outshine all his former glory.
He has reigned too long. So bite him on his heel. Let the poison seep into him. Poison cancels poison. And the old brew has decayed. They'll ask where you've been and why it is you've changed?"
Your reply is a confident nothing; Knowing just how far you came.
