Dilated Pupils

Eyes that hold my own  

So entrapping

So deep

So beautiful

Like shards of diamond

 

There was a time

When the love passing between us

Was so real it was almost tangible

When it was such a connection

People could feel it as they walked by

A vibrant light in the dark void of this terrible world

 

But time is never on anyone's side

As we age we change

As our time together grew old

So did our love

 

And now

As months turn to years

Our time has come

It's time to let go

And trudge along

Alone

In the ink black void that is love
