A moment under the crystal sky and fabric planet
A Story by Scene, not herd
She stepped out just as the sky was in the middle of its being
grey, and the crystal sheets were crashing out of the sky and flinging
themselves onto the ground with flourish. The air was splendidly cold
and pine-fresh. And in that split second, it really felt like nature was
yelling as it whipped all around her, it was yelling that everything
was possible, and that it couldn’t ever possibly go wrong.
As she stood there, her bomber jacket being pelted with wet, and her
stockings soaking up every bit of sky-pieces they were made to soak up,
she closed her eyes for a moment and just let herself sense the
raindrops on her lashes. Her heart felt close to bursting and the
sweetest of symphonies sang in her head as she tried to think and not
think about her existence.
Then she sat up, hugging herself in the cold dark room, swathed in
her bed linens and favourite smelling clothes. Her breathing was slow
and measured, but measured in the forlorn, carefree way that only she
understood in her own way. The beddraggled figure in the dark room could
have represented anything to anyone who could’ve walked past, or was
present in the moment, seeing through the thick cool fabric darkness.
But as she wiped a drop of moisture off her eyelid, she knew in that
moment that that was exactly what being incomprehensibly in love felt
like.

I live in Singapore, where the education system is extremely efficient, but the pre-U route is too insane for me.
