I Am Tiger

I Am Tiger

A Poem by Scene, not herd
"

Based on current event: A man's suicide attempt at the Singapore Zoo involved climbing into the White Tiger enclosure and placing a bucket over his head while being mauled.

"

Jumping through hoops
Waiting for dinner
Staying home

I did obey

"Smile!"
I did try
But a cat's face
Is not meant for such

I could not obey

"Eat me!"
I did not know
I did what I was told

I had to obey

Today, no instructions come.
Locked up, all I did was obey.
Why do they stare
With such terror?

It is sad.

I don't know why, but this made me giggle in a good way even though I don't think that is what you were looking for? Very dramatic though. As it began, did it end on a really curious note.

I like the macabre side of this. It has that subtle touch of horror that makes it perfect.
Nice work!
