Don't Laugh At Me

Don't Laugh At Me

A Poem by Scene, not herd

A willow stick?
"No, not really"
Answered the man

A tree? I ventured
Not much more than I dared
To experience more humiliation
Than I'd dare measure

Laughing with amusement in his eyes
You're close
He offered
Its more an animal than you'd expect

Pondering hard but without avail
Closer like a willow tree I would but weep
With cat's eyes he upped and said

Those in your hands: Plain as day
Looking at them with much chagrin
Of course in pussywillow the answer lay
