For Ally

For Ally

A Poem by Scene, not herd
"

This was written for a dear friend who was pining for a special someone who'd left the country. I put myself in her shoes when I wrote it and dedicated it to her, hoping that perhaps she would feel better if she came to terms with the situation this way.

"

Standard Tuning
Chords: G, D

Of course you've heard of summer flings
And other things
For that matter

Thing about summer is that
We don't have it over here
But rain

Rain here and rain there
The same sky isn't it?
And maybe if you're looking out on a rainy day
You'll think of here

Cos you're a long long way
Away from me
It doesn't matter what I feel
But maybe someday
You'll remember
That you've belonged here

I have to agree with venus, I think this poem is really pretty but the last lines really stand out in the best of ways. =)

Great poem. However, if it's a song as you indicated at the top, you should lengthen it. I'm sure Ally'll be really impressed if you serenaded her with it!

A excellent poem. Could feel the desire and yearning for his missed love.
