It was a month ago today
People were still busy at work
Others met up with friends for lunch
Some were just at home watching t.v
The world didn't stop for them
We were all by her side that day
Waiting, hoping, praying and wishing
& in an instant OUR world came to a screeching halt
as Brother Allen delivered the news.
She was the girl that always had something to say
The girl that could brighten your day with a smart a*s comment about your outfit
She did everything she always said she would
Her mom was her best friend
& her dad was her hero.
We are all still hurting, but hopefully someday can find comfort in the fact that we're the ones suffering. Not you. You're happy. You're safe.
You're where you're meant to be.
We can all learn something from Danielle.
Live everyday like it's your last.
Don't ever hold back what's on your mind
Never be afraid to take chances.
& do what you want, say what you want and be who you are; regardless of what others may think.
Even if the plans we had made for the rest of our lives didn't work out the way we thought they always would, you'll still be by our sides every step of the way.
At our 21st, laughing at how ridiculous we're being.
At our college graduation, being so proud.
At our first day of work in the real world, knowing we're going to finally make the money to be the true ballers we always knew we were.
At our weddings, along side our bridesmaids.
At our retirements, making fun at how old we've become.
& when our day comes, we will meet again & you'll be there waiting for us with that amazing smile and open arms.
" There's nothing like the end to make you appreciate the beginning."
We all miss you, D and can't wait to see you again.
