Taking 123

Taking 123

A Poem by Kyle Insane

My name is apathy.

Husband to both love and hate.

I sired truth and falsehood.

Emotion, reason and logic.

One told no lies.

Two heard no lies.

Me? I lied all the time.

Even when telling the truth.

And in her thousandth year,

a plumage of tails will bloom.

Kitsune, they call her. Mother.

Trickster incarnate, familiar faces,

Through literal escapism bred.

LOVE the inversion of the japanese myth.. i've always loved the tales of the kitsune.. even when caught, she had tricks up her sleeve aplenty. but then, her heart could be captured for a time just like any mortal woman's - perhaps even more so, because she had the freedom to love as fiercely as she wanted
