Lone Space Refugee

Lone Space Refugee

A Poem by kewayne wadley

I've never seen the moon shine in such a way,
As it hangs a little bit lower,
As it hangs a little bit closer,
I dont want to be the only one, notice how it sings its song, how it moves its lips,
but never seen, hidden in plain view,
I've Never taken a trip quite like this,
On a seat, where planes nor jets can easily reach,
The stars collide,
Creating sparks of beauty,
How they fly beneath heavens light,
Short astroids lost, no direction to go but north,
A short distance that parts from your eye and mine,
A simple spark that remembers time,
Place,
It sings of heavenly gestures,
Clovers and blue moons,
blankets of stars that tuck away the sun,
they whisper to the stratosphere, as they are one,
The milky way turns its light a little lower, letting it rest for moments at a time,
In awe of the moon's song,
With words not before said,
It pauses,
A heart is drawn in the blanket of stars,
It stretches as far as the planets can see,
Lost between a cities lights and the different bends clouds can make,
All of the stars can be seen here,
Just above,
Dancing their twinkle,
Mars' moves his arms as he asks Venus to dance,
Wishing it too were closer,
Flying away,
Far,
As planes can only go so high,
yet, they cannot reach here,
Hear to hear the moon's symphony,
as upon its surface its always winter,
I've never seen the moon shine in such a way,
I've never taken a trip quite like this,
The milky way turns its lights down a little bit lower,
The moon sings its song a little bit louder,
Mars' fades away into Venus' eyes,
While the moon,
A refugee in love
