Wrinkle in your eyeA Poem by kewayne wadleyI don't wanna be your lover, I don't wanna be your friend, I don't want things to become misunderstood, The moments that go in hunger, The seconds that go in anguish, I don't wanna lose my mind in such a way, I can't bare you to see me that way, To lose my breath in such a way, Uncanny, fulfilled, For every thought to become eternity in an instant, I don't wanna be your friend, I dare not walk a line that blurs in such a way, I don't wanna hold your hand, Ultimate truths told through the flesh, The throbs that echo from a heart in turbulence, Grown reckless to all the stares that equate the perfect picture, I don't wanna be your lover, Hands that trace the linings that light the fires that burn between this world, And the next, A line drawn between temptation and insanity, Talks of growing old hand in hand, Hands that become lost in the woven ways your hair blows in the wind, I don't wanna be either of the above because I love you, I don't wanna ruin how perfect you are now, Reason to why God doesn't answer all prayers
